New kit day: Alpecin-Deceuninck presents its 2024 jersey

The 2024 cycling season is just around the corner and the Alpecin-Deceuninck team, led by world champion Mathieu van der Poel, is presenting itself in a new design. At first, the idea of cycling in jeans may seem uncomfortable, but the visual effect is strikingly positive.

The jersey of the Belgian cycling team conveys the values of “hard work” and “having fun together” and is inspired by the versatile material of denim. It is a jersey for every occasion and will accompany the team on their quest for success.

The exception to the denim design is the Dutch world champion Mathieu van der Poel. While hard work is undoubtedly a value associated with MVDP, he will have to forego the denim on the bike and represent the “small burden” of the rainbow jersey. Nevertheless, he will surely be impressed by the new design.

UAE tour with Kaden Groves as a leader

Fans will get their first glimpse of the new jersey at the upcoming UAE Tour, where the team’s sporting focus will be on achieving stage victories with Kaden Groves as the leader.

The Opening Weekend with the races Omloop Het Nieuwsblad and Kuurne-Brussel-Kuurne marks the start of the classic season in Europe, and the Alpecin-Deceuninck team will fight for victories in line with their motto of “working hard together, while having fun together.” The anticipation for the upcoming season is huge, and the team is ready to give it their all.

Alpecin 10 years as a sponsor in professional cycling

The 2024 season is not only special for the Alpecin-Deceuninck team, but also for their sponsor Alpecin. Since joining as a sponsor for Giant-Alpecin in 2015, the company has accompanied the riders on their way to numerous successes. Now, Alpecin is celebrating its 10th season as a sponsor in this fascinating sport.

After a stint with Katusha-Alpecin from 2017 to 2019, the red logo made its way onto the clothing of the Belgian cycling team Alpecin-Fenix in 2020, which has been competing under the name Alpecin-Deceuninck since the 2022 season.
